Mother, Daughter Steal Thousands From Elderly Delaware Woman: Police

Delaware officials said two Millsboro women were arrested for stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly victim.

The Delaware State Police said the arrests were the result of a 10-month investigation that started with a complaint from the 91-year-old victim. State Police says the woman was defrauded of more than $129,000.

The Delaware State Police identified the women who were arrested as 53-year-old Tammy Lynn Willis and her daughter, 30-year-old Amanda Willis. They said Tammy Willis had been given the power to make decisions about the victim's finances and stole thousands from her account.

Officials said Willis and her daughter face theft and other charges and that Willis' son Ricky Pennington also faces charges.

Telephone listings for Tammy and Amanda Willis rang unanswered Thursday. Pennington's listed number was busy.
