Golf Coach Accused Of Molesting Students And Plotting to Kill Them Pleads Not Guilty

A Northern California golf teacher accused of molesting his students and plotting to kill them from jail has pleaded not guilty.

The Contra Costa Times reports that Andrew Nisbet entered his plea in Alameda County Superior Court on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old Nisbet of Livermore faces charges that he tried to hire a hitman to kill the victims. The plan fell through when a confidential informant gave Nisbet's letters to a sheriff's deputy in late February.

Nisbet also faces 75 felonies for charges including lewd acts with minors and arranging sexual meetings with minors. The charges mostly stem from Nisbet allegedly sexually assaulting three boys between the ages of 12 and 17 from 2009 to 2012.

Nisbet is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on July 9. He remains held without bail at Santa Rita Jail.
