A 28-year-old man was chased down in a Southeast D.C. neighborhood by two suspects in hoodies who gunned him down and then sped away in a BMW, surveillance video released by police shows.

Mark Milline Jr. was walking in the 800 block of Xenia Street about 5:15 p.m. last Thursday when he was fatally shot, D.C. police said.

No arrests have been made. Detectives on Monday released the images in hopes someone could recognize the suspects.

The video shows Milline walking on a sidewalk in a residential area when two suspects jump out of a car with their handguns drawn. They open fire on Milline from the middle of the street and chase him about the length of two houses. The suspects then run back to the car with a getaway driver inside and flee.

Police said Milline suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers found the car used in the shooting, but were asking for the public's help finding the suspects, who concealed their identities by wearing hoodies and gloves.

Milline's family said he had been struggling to find a job.

"I told him every day, if you go out, be careful," Mark Milline Sr. told News4.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrests and convictions of those responsible. Anyone with information was asked to call D.C. police at 202-727-9099.
