Howard County Police are investigating a burglary at a department store at Columbia Mall.
Officers were called to the Macy's at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday after two men smashed a store window and entered the store. The would-be burglars were confronted by a store employee and fled the scene empty-handed.
Police said the men were seen driving a black Dodge pickup truck.
