Little League World Series Run Ends for Loudoun South Team

The ride is over for the Loudoun South Little League team at the Little League World Series.

Loudoun South took on Louisiana in single-elimination play Thursday night and lost after Louisiana jumped out to an early lead. Loudoun South managed to keep it within one run until the fourth inning, but then a grand slam opened up the floodgates.

Loudoun South gave their all, but this one ended on a mercy rule, after they were down 10-0 at the bottom of the fifth.

Louisiana now plays Hawaii for the U.S. title Saturday.
