WASHINGTON -- Crews are trying to identify a suspicious substance found at the World Bank headquarters Monday, authorities said.

An unidentified substance was found in a letter or package in a mail room at about noon, D.C. Fire Department spokesman Pete Piringer said. The building, located on H Street in northwest Washington, was partially evacuated.

No illnesses were reported.
