Montgomery County Police say a construction worker has died after being pinned between an excavator and a house in Bethesda.
It happened about 8:35 a.m. Monday. Police say a crew had been working outside when one worker became pinned.
Other workers were able to free the man, but he died at a local hospital.
The victim was identified as 42-year-old John Joseph Whitney of Columbia.
County police and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health are investigating the accident.
