Woman's Body Found at Bottom of Trash Chute

Baltimore police wait for medical examiner’s ruling

The body of a woman was found in a trash container in a downtown apartment building, Baltimore police said.

The body of 21-year-old Emily Hauze was found about 8 a.m. Sunday in the Park Charles in the 200 block of N. Charles Street, officers said.

There are no signs of foul play, but police are awaiting a ruling from the medical examiner, Detective Kevin Brown said.

Hauze was a recent graduate of Loyola University Maryland, according to WBFF. http://bit.ly/psiSaN

In August 2010, a man died after apparently falling down the trash chute of the same high-rise, which houses apartments and offices.

A spokeswoman for Park Charles management could not immediately be reached for comment. In an email to tenants, management said there had been an incident in the community that resulted in death.
