Woman Stabbed, Killed; Suspect Arrested

    Police are searching for answers into this fatal incident.

    Metropolitan Police Department detectives have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a woman early Saturday morning in southeast D.C.

    India Chapple, 26, of southeast Washington, was found with an apparent stab wound in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road. Medical personnel transported her to a local hospital for treatment, but she was later pronounced dead.

    Detectives arrested Tracy Mathis, 30, of southeast Washington, and charged him with second-degree murder.

    Police have not released a motive for the attack.
