Woman Sexually Assaulted by Man With Gun in Northeast D.C.

A woman was sexually assaulted by a man with a gun in Northeast D.C. early Saturday evening, and police are still searching for a suspect.

The victim was walking in the 1600 block of Montello Avenue NE between 7 and 8 p.m. on Saturday when a man approached her and showed her handgun before sexually assaulting her, police said.

The man is wanted for first-degree sexual abuse while armed, police said.

The suspect, who is believed to be in his 20s, is five feet, one inch tall, with a muscular build and short hair. He was clean shaven and wearing a white T-shirt and tan pants at the time of the assault. He was last seen in the 1600 block of Montello Avenue NE.
