Group Robs, Sexually Assaults Woman in Adams Morgan

Police say a woman was robbed and sexually assaulted by a group of four men in the city's Adams Morgan neighborhood.

The woman was walking by herself just before 6 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of Ontario Road NW when four men she doesn't know approached her.

They dragged her into an alley nearby where they robbed her. Two men then sexually assaulted her and fled.

Two women police initially reported were with the men were not with them when the crime was committed.

A neighbor said he was awoken that morning by a scream.

"I heard a scream and someone crying, it only lasted a few seconds and I went back to sleep. On Friday and Saturday nights, nothing surprises me in this neighborhood," Jeff Aldridge said. "We've even put up motion detectors in our alley to try and discourage any of these type of incidents to happen."

Tuesday, D.C. police released an image of a black Ford F0150 four-door truck possibly connected to the crime.
