Police officers spread across a neighborhood in Fairfax County, Va. on Tuesday night to warn women about an attempted sex assault. As Jane Watrel reports, detectives want neighbors to know exactly what happened.

Police in Fairfax County are investigating an attempted abduction and sexual assault in the Chantilly, Va., area.

A 37-year-old woman told police a man with a weapon grabbed her while she was walking in the 4100 block of Elmwood Street about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

She said he moved her a short distance and tried to sexually assault her before running away.

During the attack the man concealed his face.

The woman did not need medical attention.
