A woman was kidnapped in broad daylight in D.C's Petworth neighborhood Tuesday and was forced to take her kidnappers to her apartment, where they stole from her and then left, police said.
The woman was waiting for a bus at the corner of New Hampshire and Georgia avenues NW about 1 p.m. Tuesday when she was approached by two men she did not know, she told Metro Transit Police.
The men chatted with her and then ordered her to leave with them, threatening to harm her if she did not comply, Metro Transit Police said.
The men forced the woman to get into a vehicle and asked her where she lived, police said.
The men then drove to her apartment in Hyattsville, Maryland, where they stole valuables and cash from her before leaving, police said.
The woman was not hurt.
Police said one suspect was described as about 40 years old and 5-foot-9. He was wearing a long-sleeved gray and white Hawaiian-style shirt, dark blue jeans and a black watch.

The second suspect was described was 20 to 25 years old and 5-foot-3. He was wearing a short-sleeved green plaid shirt and blue jeans, police said.
The vehicle was described as a silver SUV, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder.
Women were abducted off streets in Northeast and Northwest D.C. in two separate incidents last month, police said.
In one case, two men forced a woman into an SUV and sexually assaulted her for days, according to police. The woman managed to escape and call 911.
Police said last month that they did not believe those two cases were connected.
