Anne Arundel County Police say a woman found dead in a Maryland home earlier this week had been shot.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Karlyn Serane Ramirez. She was found dead Tuesday morning.
A 5-month-old baby found next to her was unharmed, officers say.
Authorities say the medical examiner has ruled her death a homicide.
Police continue to investigate the killing.
