Woman Finds Capitol Officer in Bed: Cops

A U.S. Capitol Police officer was arrested when a woman who had never met him before came home and to find him passed out drunk in her bed, Arlington Police said.

Investigators said Thomas McMahon, 34, was still sleeping when officers arrived at 1 a.m. Sunday. Spokeswoman Crystal Nosal said McMahon was charged with unlawful entry.

Police don't know why McMahon, who lives in Reston, picked the woman's apartment to sleep, but investigators believe he came in
through the front door.

Capitol Police spokeswoman Kimberly Schneider said McMahon is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal charges. Schneider said the agency will also conduct an investigation.
