Woman Dies After Incense Catches Bedroom on Fire

An 87-year-old woman was killed after a townhouse fire in Fairfax, Virginia, late Saturday night.

Officials said crews were called to the Comstock neighborhood for report of a victim receiving CPR. When they arrived, they found woman had been exposed to smoke and an upstairs bedroom in the townhouse was on fire.

The victim, Chau Nguyen, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her son was also in the house at the time of the fire. 

Investigators said the fire was caused by the use of incense in the bedroom. No working smoke detectors were found in the house.
