Woman Charged With Neglect of Disabled Teen After Feces Found in Home: PD

A Woodbridge woman is facing a child neglect charge after police found a disabled teenage boy living amongst feces and other unsafe conditions.

Dena Lanay Arnold, 38, was arrested Friday and charged with felony child neglect.

Officers were called to Arnold's Village Drive home just before 7 p.m. Friday to check on the 17-year-old boy. Police say the teen is physically disabled, and the caller was concerned that the home was not sanitary.

During a check of the home, officers found feces and other unsafe conditions.

The officers called Child Protective Services, and the teen was placed with another family member.

Arnold is being held without bond.

Police did not say how Arnold and the teen are related.
