Woman Bitten By Dog Several Times, May Need Rabies Shots

A dog bite victim will have to undergo rabies shots if her attacker cannot be found, according to the Falls Church, Virginia, police.

The animal control division said a woman was walking on North Oak Street and Lincoln Avenue on March 16 around 5 p.m. They said she passed a woman, walking two dogs on leashes, when one of the dogs bit her several times on the leg.

Police said the dogs were described as having muted brown or brown fur with white markings. The dog walker identified herself as Laura or Lauren Weaver and may live in the area.

Weaver was described as a white woman, in her 20s, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. She was wearing a purple- or lavender-colored jacket.

Police said the victim will need to get rabies shots if the dog cannot be found.
