White House Lawn Gets the All-Clear After Evacuation Due to Unattended Bag

    The North Lawn of the White House reopened shortly before 11:10 a.m. Wednesday after it was briefly evacuated due to an unattended bag.

    The lawn was cleared around 10:35 a.m. Wednesday. A Secret Service official said they were investigating an unattended bag on the north lawn fence, reported NBC News' Kristen Welker.

    The bag was determined to be safe.
