A woman was quickly apprehended Wednesday after allegedly stealing a power wheelchair.

A senior citizen flagged down an officer in Frederick, Md., at about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday to report the theft. He said he was in a store in the 500 block of North Bentz Street when the wheelchair was taken, police said.

Witnesses identified Mallory Nicole Tobery as the suspect, police said. Officers checked the area and found Tobery in the 100 block of South Jefferson Street with the wheelchair, police said.

She was taken to central booking to await a hearing.
