If you're traveling on the Metro this Memorial Day weekend, be sure to give yourself some extra time.
Metro's website says portions of the Red Line will be single tracking, and buses will replace trains between Ft. Totten and Greenbelt. Work will begin 10 p.m. Friday through closing of the system on Memorial Day Monday.
Red Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Glenmont and Shady Grove throughout the weekend, and trains will single track between Forest Glen and Takoma.
No track work is expected on the Blue, Orange or Yellow lines.
