It wasn't the rain that flooded one neighborhood in Arlington Monday; it was a busted water main.

The 36-inch break ruptured about 1 p.m. at Glebe Road near North Old Glebe. Several homes were initially evacuated, and the intersection of Dittmar Road at Old Glebe was closed. Water gushed into basements and first floor homes.

Arlington County officials warned that residents could experience lower water pressure while crews work to fix the pipe.

There's no word yet on what caused the break.
