Drivers could be in for another rough commute after a water main break caused a portion of a busy Silver Spring road to collapse.
The 12-inch water main break was reported in the westbound lanes of University Boulevard at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
The water main break caused the road to collapse. University Boulevard was closed between Piney Branch Road and Carroll Avenue for several hours.
One eastbound lane and two westbound lanes are now open.
Customers in the area still have water.
