Washington Redskins Linebacker Junior Galette Arrested in Mississippi

Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette was arrested Friday after getting into a fight at MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Sgt. Jackie Rhodes, a Biloxi Police Department spokesman, says an officer saw the 29-year-old Galette strike another man during an altercation at a spring break event Friday night at MGM Park.

Rhodes says Galette was told to stop but fled on foot. The officer chased Galette, used a stun gun to subdue him and took him into custody.

Galette was charged with disorderly conduct and failing to comply, according to NBC Sports. He posted a $500 bond a short time later.

The Redskins say in a statement they are aware of the incident and gathering information. A message seeking comment from a lawyer believed to be representing Galette wasn't immediately returned. This isn't the first time Galette has found himself in trouble.

In 2015, he was arrested on domestic abuse allegations, but the case was later dropped, NBC Sports reports. A civil case is still active.

According to NBC Sports, Galette has missed the last two seasons with the Redskins because of injuries. He previously played for the New Orleans Saints.
