National Park Service

Washington Monument Live Webcam

You can now watch live views of iconic U.S. monuments in our nation's capital -- from 500 feet over Washington, D.C. -- from anywhere that you have access to the internet.

The National Park Service, with live streaming video provider EarthCam, have put a streaming web camera inside a pre-existing hole in the Washington Monument's pyramidion.

Which means that rain or shine, you can view the World War II Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool -- as well as much of the National Mall.

The newest addition to this visual treat is the Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada "facescape," "Out of Many, One," a portrait created from 2,000 tons of sand and 800 tons of soil on the National Mall itself.

The National Portrait Gallery will have this exhibit displayed for a month.
