Metro is accused of over-reaching in its hiring processes, according to a class-action lawsuit filed Wednesday.
The suit states Metro refused to hire qualified job applicants due to a range of criminal convictions without considering timelines or jobs in question. The suit alleges this has disproportionately affected African American applicants.
Metro's general manager earlier this year said, "all qualified canididates are given the opportunity to submit an appeal."
