Virginia State Police are awaiting the identification of a body found in the same area where a missing professor's car was discovered.

The Daily News-Record reports that state police halted the search for Harriet Cobb after the body was found Friday in the Mountain Grove area of Bath County.

Cobb's family reported the 61-year-old James Madison University professor missing on March 10. Her car was found in the Mountain Grove area on March 11.

The body was sent to the medical examiner's office.
