A Virginia man died in an Anne Arundel County accident Sunday afternoon while riding his motorcycle.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. on Route 3 in Gambrills. Authorities say a 19-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Cobalt was attempting to cross the roadway into a Royal Farms parking lot when she steered into the path of a motorcycle driven by Jonathan Wesley Roberts, 30.

Roberts, of Aylett, Va., was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

The driver of the Cobalt had minor injuries.

Authorities said they don't believe speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash, but the investigation is on going.
