For a Halloween parade aimed at kids and their families, the threat of storms is truly scary.
That's why Vienna, Virginia has canceled its Halloween parade, which had been scheduled for Wednesday night.
Rain is in the forecast for the area through the evening. At times, the rain could be severe, Storm Team4 reported.
A press release from the town said the electrical equipment needed for the parade can also be dangerous if there's lightning in the area. Plus, evacuating the parade in the event of an emergency would prove difficult.
