Video Shows Maryland Police Officer Slamming Man's Head to the Ground

News4 has spoken to the Montgomery County acting police chief about the video. You can find the latest article with the interview here.

Montgomery County police are investigating a video posted on Twitter showing an officer slamming the head of a man who appears to have his hands behind his back.

A police officer is seen driving his knee into the man's head outside a McDonald’s on Connecticut Avenue in Aspen Hill. The man's head slams into the ground.

It’s unclear why police were detaining the man.

“I too was disturbed by the images in the video," County Executive Marc Elrich said. "Acting Chief Jones is investigating this matter. I want to ensure that all residents of this county are treated respectfully and fairly by our police force."

Montgomery County police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.

This follows other controversial confrontations involving the Montgomery County Police Department.
