West Hartford Police are still investigating a sexual assault that happened on Fern Street in October.

Only eight days into the New Year and detectives in Prince George's County are investigating the eighth homicide there since Jan. 1.

Saturday morning, an unidentified man was found in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 1400 block of University Boulevard in Hyattsville.

Police were called to the scene at 8:03 a.m., where they found the victim who had apparently been stabbed, and had suffered trauma to his upper body, said Prince George's County Police spokesman Clinton Copeland.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators are still piecing together information, and say they will release more information when they get it.
