Man Pulled From Icy Prince George's Pond Dies

    Rescue teams have pulled a man from an icy Prince George's County pond -- and say he may have been in the water for at least 50 minutes. News4's Shomari Stone reports. (Published Monday, March 9, 2015)

    A man pulled from an icy Prince George's County pond could not be revived, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department.

    The man may have been in the water for at least 50 minutes.

    The pond is near 15500 Chaddsford Lake Drive in Brandywine. Dive teams were called in to search an area where a witness had seen the victim enter the water and not come out. Just after 4 p.m., rescuers pulled out the man.

    Rescuers had to perform CPR on the man, was was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
