Van Crashes Nose-First From Second Floor of Garage

A van crashed from the second floor of a garage on the Howard University campus around 6 a.m. Thursday with the driver still inside.

D.C. Fire and EMS said the driver of the van somehow drove off the garage, crashing nose-first into the ground. The driver was able to get out before firefighters arrived.

The driver was taken to a local hospital. Authorities are investigating the accident, which happened in the 2300 block of Georgia Avenue NW.
