Vacant Building Fire Raises Questions

A fire broke out in the vacant Karma Academy building in Rockville leaving plenty of unanswered questions for investigators.

A vacant building on the grounds of a former youth residential facility in Rockville caught fire early Thursday morning.

Firefighters found heavy fire and smoke when they arrived at the building at the Karma Academy for Boys in the 100 block of Watts Branch Parkway.

The Karma Academy had been a residential treatment facility for boys. It was closed in April 2010.

No injuries were reported.
