Virginia Police Continue to Search for Evidence in Case of Missing Teen Alexis Murphy

Law enforcement officials are searching near the home of a man suspected of the disappearance of a Virginia teenager last summer.

Media reports say the search Monday is focusing in an area around the rural Nelson County home of 48-year-old Randy Allen Taylor.

Taylor is charged with the slaying of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy. Her body has never been found.

Murphy was last seen at a gas station in Lovingston early last August. Her abandoned vehicle was found in the parking lot of Charlottesville multiplex three days later.

Taylor remains a person-of-interest in the 2010 disappearance of another teen, 19-year-old Samantha Ann Clarke, who went out one night and never returned.

Taylor's trial is scheduled for May 1. He has denied involvement in both disappearances.
