A Catholic priest has been charged with the sexual battery of a man, Fairfax County police said.
The Rev. Luis Fernando Franco Henao surrendered to authorities on Wednesday.
Franco Henao is a visiting priest from Colombia, the Diocese of Arlington said.
The alleged incident occurred Feb. 2 on the parish grounds of St. Bernadette in Springfield, police said. The alleged victim came forward last month.
Franco Henao has been removed from his duties, church officials said.
