Mexican Teen's Relationship With Woodbridge Man Started Online: Police

Police said a man living in Woodbridge met a 16-year-old girl from Mexico on a social media site, leading to a sexual relationship between the two.

According to investigators, the teenager traveled across the border into the United States to go live with the suspect, Santos Anibal Lopez Menche, 19.  Police said the two have been living together in Woodbridge since January. 

Officers responded to Lopez Menche's Brookville Lane home on February 25 after receiving a report of sexual assault.  He was arrested around 10 a.m.

The accused has been charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of crimes against nature.

The teenaged victim is currently in child protective custody.
