Va. Child Care Worker Facing Additional Sexual Assault Charges

    Leesburg Police

A 23-year-old Leesburg, Va. childcare worker already charged in connection with the sexual assault of a 4-year-old student is now facing additional charges, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

NBC4 previously reported that Brad R. Minor, who is a childcare worker at the Chesterbrook Academy in Leesburg, was arrested and charged with one count of forcible sodomy after police received a tip from a parent in March.  In addition to the forcible sodomy charge, Minor has since been charged with indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial relationship, said police.

Police announced Friday that after being made aware of a complaint involving a second 4-year-old child at the school, Minor is now facing an additional charge of aggravated sexual battery.

Police say the Chesterbrook Academy has been cooperating fully with the investigation.  Minor is being held without bond in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call police at (703) 771-4521.
