Va. Art Teacher Facing Child Pornography Charges

An art teacher at a Sterling, Va., elementary school is facing multiple child pornography charges, and police say they're looking for additional victims.

Ralph Watts Conrad III, 43, of Hamilton, Va., was arrested September 10 and charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

Most recently, Conrad was a teacher at Algonkian Elementary School. Conrad worked for Loudoun County Public Schools for 15 years and served as an itinerant art teacher at Belmont Station Elementary, Lowe's Island Elementary, Frances Hazel Reid, Legacy Elementary, Mill Run Elementary and Creighton's Corner Elementary.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says no students were involved, but additional charges are possible as the investigation is ongoing.

Parents, however, are deeply disturbed by the allegations.

"I have two kids .... I might even pull them out of school," Tuan Tran told News4.

Authorities asked that anyone who may have had any suspicious contact or relationships with Conrad call Detective Pat Beaver at 703-777-0475.
