A firefighter was taken to a hospital with minor injuries after a fire at a Prince William County, Va., apartment building.

The fire at the four-story building in the 3600 block of Golf Side Circle in Lake Ridge was reported by several callers at about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters made sure the building was empty and saw smoke coming from a front third-floor apartment and the fourth floor in back.

A second alarm was sounded at about 2:10 p.m.

Almost 15 minutes later, fire engulfed the attic, and an evacuation alarms sounded for firefighters to clear the building.

The fire was under control by 3:15 p.m.

Twenty-two residents in a 12-unit complex are displaced. Thirteen reisdents in another unit may also be displaced. American Red Cross was called to the scene.
