Transportation officials in Virginia are pausing plans to build high-occupancy toll lanes on interstates 95 and 395.

Construction of the HOT lanes from the Pentagon to Massaponax in Spotsylvania County was scheduled to begin next summer.

The governor's office is reassessing the plan because it's not sure money to build the HOT lanes will be available.

The decision will not affect the HOT lanes already under construction on the Beltway, which include work near Tysons Corner where drivers literally hit a roadblock Monday morning.

The exit ramp that takes commuters from the Beltway to route 123 North in McLean is now closed for construction. Some drivers complained because the detour comes before that exit and is on the left side.

This is the latest change for drivers already trying to navigate HOT lanes and Metro construction.
