University of Maryland Student Cut Near Campus, Police Say

Someone cut a University of Maryland student late Wednesday afternoon near the College Park campus, police said.

The male student was in the 8700 block of Baltimore Avenue at about 5 p.m. when an unknown person cut him, police said.

The victim was treated for the injury, which police said was not life-threatening.

The attacker's motive and description are not known.
