Authorities are working to identify a man found dead in Northeast D.C. Thursday afternoon.
D.C. Police received a call about an unconscious man lying in the 4300 block of Gault Place SE shortly before 2 p.m. When they arrived, they found the man was dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099. Those wishing to remain anonymous may submit information to the department's Text Tip Line by texting 50411.
