Morgan Harrington, the Virginia Tech student who disappeared after a Metallica concert, was last seen alive on the Copely Road bridge in Charlottesville.

Now the University of Virginia has plans to install a memorial marker at the bridge. The plaque will be dedicated Oct. 17, the one-year anniversary of her disappearance.

Harrington, 20, disappeared after leaving a Metallica concert and getting separated from her friends. Her remains were found in January.

The investigation into her appearance and death is ongoing.
