UMd. Students Robbed While Inside Off-Campus Apartment

The University of Maryland Police Department are warning students about an armed off-campus robbery early Saturday morning.

Police say the incident occurred around 3:55 a.m. at an apartment building on Knox Road, between Rossburg Drive and Sterling Place. They said three men, one armed with a knife and another with a BB gun, forced entry into an apartment and demanded property from five university students.

One resident sustained a minor, non-life-threatening injury to his hand. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

Detectives believe the robbery is not a random incident.
