The University of Maryland police are sending out a crime alert after a robbery near the College Park campus.
A student told police that two guys approached him with a gun, near his apartment on Rowalt Drive around 10:30 last night. He also told investigators one man was wearing a ski mask.
The student was not hurt.
UMD police remind others that an escort service is available to anyone walking at night who might feel unsafe.
