Two women have been sexually assaulted by taxi drivers in D.C. this month, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

On May 11, a woman was picked up in the Dupont Circle area by a man working as a taxi driver and then sexually assaulted in the 300 block of 18th Street NE en route to her destination, police said.

On May 22, a woman was picked up in the Georgetown area and assaulted in the 3700 block of Quebec Street NW en route to her destination, police said.

Each assault occurred in the early morning hours, and each victim described their attacker as a Middle Eastern man in his 30s with olive or light brown skin, thin build, and thick or curly hair. In each case the attacker wore dark clothing and drove a dark-colored taxi with dark-colored interior.
