Two Teens Charged in Spotsylvania Sexting Case

Students accused of soliciting images from juvenile girls

SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. -- Two Spotsylvania county students have been accused of soliciting pornographic images from juvenile girls, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

Moizeis Ribeiro, 18, and a 15-year-old boy were charged with possession of child pornography and electronic solicitation.

Investigators seized seven cell phones and forensically examined them for child pornography after a deputy received a tip that a student might have child pornography on his phone, authorities said.

Three juvenile females -- including one in elementary school -- were identified in images on the seven phones, according to the sheriff's office. Two remain unidentified.

Sexting -- sending nude photos and video via cell phone -- is a growing trend among kids, according to the sheriff's office.
