A double fatal crash closed a portion of Route 214 in Prince George's County Monday afternoon.

The crash happened in the 13600 block of  Central Avenue (Route 214) in Upper Marlboro around 2:15 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say two tractor-trailers and a Honda Civic were stopped at a red light when a concrete truck crashed into the back of the Civic. The Civic was crushed between the concrete truck and one of the tractor trailers, authorities said, and that tractor trailer was forced into the other.

The driver and front seat passenger of the Civic died at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.

The drivers of the three other vehicles were being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Route 214 was closed for about six hours.
