Two juveniles were shot in southeast D.C. Thursday evening, the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed.
The victims are a boy and a girl believed to be in their teens. They are expected to survive their wounds.
They were shot at Alabama and G Street SE after 8 p.m.
One neighbor said he saw a car speed away after the shots were fired.
It was the second double shooting in Southeast Thursday. Two men were shot in the 100 block of Ridge Road SE before 3 p.m. They were conscious and breathing when police reached the scene.
